Family

A Christian family is one that seeks to align with biblical principles, recognizing that each member has a God-given role to fulfill. The Bible teaches that the family unit was designed by God and given to mankind as a gift. As such, we have a responsibility to nurture and care for our families in a way that honors God's plan.
In addition to the basic family unit of one man, one woman, and their children, the extended family can also play an important role in Christian family life. The Bible teaches us to honor our parents and care for our relatives, as well as to love our neighbors as ourselves.

Friends

As a member of a larger family, I am truly grateful for the friends of David Marks who have been a constant source of support and guidance in my life. In Proverbs 17:17, we read that "a friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity." This verse speaks to the deep bonds of friendship that can form between people, and the crucial role that friends can play in helping us navigate life's challenges.

A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. - Proverbs 18:24

For me, each of my friends is considered family, and I am incredibly blessed to have such a strong support system in my life. In John 15:13-15, Jesus teaches us that there is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends, and that we are no longer servants, but friends of God. This passage highlights the profound depth of love that exists between friends, and the importance of cherishing and honoring those relationships.
Therefore, I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends for being, what I consider, family to me. Your love, support, and encouragement have helped me grow and thrive, and I am grateful for each and every one of you. Together, we can continue to support and uplift one another as we navigate life's ups and downs.
